If you see a viral claim, a trending rumor, or a health myth, the first challenge is often knowing what to do next. Search results can give you more opinions without making the underlying claim any clearer.
VOM’s homepage presents a more direct starting point. Its tagline reads, “Ask anything. Verified in real time.” Beneath it, the input box says: “Ask a question, verify a claim, or check something happening right now.”
Here is what happened during one test query on vom-app.com.
Step 1: Enter a claim
I typed this claim into the homepage:
“Is it true that goldfish only have a 3-second memory?”
The wording is intentionally simple: it is a familiar claim that can be answered with a yes-or-no-style verdict and an explanation.
Step 2: Receive a labeled verdict
The result came back with a clearly labeled verdict: FALSE.
VOM also displayed a numeric confidence score: 98%. Beneath the verdict and score was a paragraph explaining the result in plain language.
That combination matters because it gives you more than a single label. You can see the system’s conclusion, the confidence number attached to it, and an explanation of what the conclusion means.
Step 3: Check the sources yourself
The result also included a section titled “Verify it yourself.” That section listed 8 separate clickable source links.
The links provide a way to move beyond the result and inspect the material used for the answer yourself. You do not have to take the AI’s response as the final word; you can open the listed sources and review them directly.
This is the central flow: enter a claim, read the labeled verdict and confidence score, then follow the sources behind the answer.
Step 4: See how many free queries remain
After that one query, the on-screen counter read “9 / 10.” On the test page, that indicated that visitors get 10 free queries before they are asked to sign in.
The counter makes the limit visible rather than leaving you to guess how much free use remains. After the single goldfish query, the display showed that nine of the ten-query allowance remained.
What else appears on the homepage?
The homepage is not limited to a blank input field. It also displayed a “Trending in United States” section citing real news sources via Google Trends. Alongside those trending topics were curated example prompts under “Verify” and “Learn.”
That gives visitors two ways to begin: bring a claim they have already encountered, or use one of the prompts and topics presented on the page.
Beneath the input box, the app displayed this disclosure: “Powered by AI - Your queries are processed securely.”
