Across Latin America, Africa, and the broader developing world, billions of people make daily decisions — about health, finances, politics, and safety — based on information that is frequently unverified, manipulated, or outright false.
WhatsApp forwards spread rumors faster than any fact-checker can respond. Media outlets prioritize engagement over accuracy. And the tools that exist for verifying information are built for English speakers with broadband internet.
The people who most need reliable information are the least served by the systems designed to provide it.

VOM was built on a simple premise: the truth should be accessible to everyone, in their language, as claims emerge.
We combine live web search with multi-layer AI reasoning to verify claims as they emerge — not hours or days later. Every verdict carries a confidence score, an explanation of the evidence, and any sources the check returned.
We don't editorialize. We don't take sides. We present the evidence and let each person draw their own conclusions.

VOM has no political position. We verify claims regardless of who makes them or what they imply. Evidence is the only authority.
Transparency
Every verdict carries a confidence score and shows any sources the check returned. We tell you how sure we are, not just what we concluded.
Accessibility
Good information shouldn't require a university degree or a premium subscription. Our free plan exists because access to information isn't optional.
Privacy
Your queries are yours. We never use them to train AI models, never sell user data, and don't build advertising profiles. Answering you does send your text, and the earlier messages if the conversation is saved, to the AI provider that processes it, under that provider's API terms, which do not allow it to train its models on your data.
Independence
VOM operates without editorial direction from governments, political parties, corporations, or advertisers. Our only obligation is to accuracy.
Continuous improvement
No AI system is perfect. We actively monitor for errors, biases, and coverage gaps. When we get it wrong, we acknowledge it and improve.
